Nicole's Maternity Shoot at Melkbos Beach

I don't think it'll matter how long I've been doing this for, shooting for another photographer will always freak me out . . . just a bit, at any rate! Nicole (of Nicole Adams Photography) got hold of me via email from the States because her and her husband were going to be in Cape Town on holiday and while they were she wanted to get some maternity shots done. Throughout our whole email exchange she very deliberately kept her photographer status hidden. In her words, she did it so that she could have the experience of every other client. It worked really well until I started asking her questions during the shoot about where she was from (Detroit Michigan - which I've learnt has the best water in the States!) and what her and her husband did for a living . . . so up until that point Nicole got to have the 'every client' experience and then, try as I might not to, I slipped into shop talk, asked her to hold my camera while I was getting something and actually ended up having a ball and forgetting to be scared of the fact that I was shooting another photographer :) |

One of the things that Nicole really wanted, and the main reason I chose Melkbos beach, was a shot (or should I say lots of shots) with Table Mountain in the background :) Love those clouds, and Nicole looks so gorgeous!! |
